I am wondering that since women tend to go to the dr more often than men, and have to take off because of sick children, etc., this means fewer productive work days from women than men. In my business it's about 50/50. Most employees that need to go to the Dr. can usually go on their day off or before or after their work shift.
There are exceptions of course kids get sick parents get sick you get sick.... |

our company implemented flex time awhile ago and it seems to be a good solution. most employees have computer access , cell phones and can work remote when they have sick kids / home maintenace sort of issues that arise from tme to time. it boosts productivity / the work gets done and the workers seem satisfied almost view the flexibility as a perk/ compensation. it's a great tool to use , when we don't have as much budget to give bigger salary merit increases. |

Goodness but your question has rankled some feminist hides it would seem. :-) I have always heard and it was my experience way back when I was in the work force that women do tend to miss more than men. I wouldn't work for an employer that did not understand that my children took priority. |

Excuse me, but that is a presumptuous, sexist question. I've never missed a DAY of work to go to the doctor. In fact, I've never missed a day of work (not including the few days of vacation I take a year) in more years than I can remember.
