Alright I'm a supervisor at a UPS facility in a new jersey location, basically, I do a superb job, running the unload/"primary" area. I'm sick of my company's well workplace issues. Tired of being extemely underpaid, and from my standpoint, UPS as far as my building goes, is a titanic ready to go under. Now I, like dozens of other ups supervisors who already jumped ship to fed-ex, is thinkin of doing the same. I need info or a number to call, to get in contact with a fed-ex facility in new jersey. I would like to be in management full time, or part time, if there is anything available. |

Don't you keep in touch with any of these other UPS managers who jumped ship? They'd be your best avenue in, since they're already in the system and would have the ear of a manager in position to hire you. I've found that this is far more successful than submitting a resume through a website or the HR department.
Other than that, check with a recruiter. They typically work with companies on positions that never get publicly posted. They also forge contacts in industry to serve as a source of talent. I've had success using recruiters in the past.
Word of advice: You seem really down on UPS. Don't think the grass is any greener on the other side of the fence. Every company has it pros and cons. If you expect FedEx to be any better, you're going to become quickly disilliusioned with them as well. And money doesn't compensate for hating your job... |

You must be stupid to leave want to leave UPS for Fedex. If you do such a "superb" job now, then why doesn't UPS promote and pay you more?. Fedex gets the management that UPS fires. I know a dozen of them at least. |
