For all you ebay seller out there?
Can all you ebay seller out there please sign this petition. Ebay plan to stop seller from leaving negative or neutral feedback for buyers. This will leave us unprotected and at risk. You can read more at:

I heard this on the news as well, this will allow scammers to go around and scam as many people as the will to, without any protection for buyers. This isn't fair at all, negative helps buyers to define unsafe sellers, what other way is there to judge this, theres got to be away to improve it hasn't there?

Ebay feedback is a great asset. Losing it will be bad!

The whole point of negative or neitral feedback is to give others the option whether or not to go ahead with the transaction.
It would be stupid to get rid of it.

This has become the straw that broke the camel's back for many of eBay's PowerSellers.

I'll reserve judgement until it becomes enforced, however, as a long standing PowerSeller whose sole income is from eBay, I'm strongly opposed to this new policy.

As has been said - it could make selling on eBay a huge debarkle - where no one really gets accurate feedback - positives with text such as NEGATIVE, DON'T TRUST etc... It may well look like a positive, but imagine having to trawl through pages and pages of feedback to understand an eBayer's 'true' feedback.

I understand eBay wants to improve the 'Buyer Experience' by not having buyers loaded with negatives (many retaliatory) however, eBay needs to pay attention to what sellers are saying and doing - voting with their feet and leaving!

Hello eBay - WITHOUT SELLERS, there will be NO 'Buyer Experience'!

I already know that many wonderful PowerSellers are closing their eBay stores, or simply no longer listing - taking their products and their eBay payments to their own websites. The common feeling is that if they have to pay the $000's on listing and selling fees and not be able to leave the feedback that is deserved, (and get scammed in the process) they may as well spend it on internet advertising - a point I agree with and may well follow suit myself.

Please DO sign the petition, whether or not you are an eBay seller - if you're a buyer, this WILL affect you too with the number of quality sellers who are opting to leave the marketplace.

I absolutely agree with you...I've signed a few on-line petitions tonight!I I have also written to the 'Watchdog' tv programme as they have reported on ebay before.
I think ebay are 'digging their own grave' on this one. VERY unfair that a seller will be unable to leave negative feedback when required. They are suggesting that a buyer should be reported if a seller objects to a neg. f/b left - have you ever tried getting in touch with ebay?? - it's like going round in circles - they don't want to know. They make it so complicated that you get fed up trying!
I was reading the ebay discussion boards as well tonight and I notice a LOTof disgruntled people saying that ebay aren't interested in the 'small' seller and it's only the power sellers that interest them now. They should be interested in the 'small' seller as well - all sellers, whether big or small, made ebay what it is today. Ebay are now going to give sellers a "free" gallery photo (big deal) BUT they are increasing the final value fee so the photo isn't free, is it?!! The fees which ebay/paypal charge are ridiculous.
Have also been having a look on the http://www.ebid.co.uk site - there are certainly a lot more auctions on there than there used to be. (I will be leaving ebay if their new rules come into force, as sellers will have no protection from scammers). Perhaps if all sellers were to boycott ebay for a month, they might take notice! By the way, ebid don't charge for listing an item.
Here is another petition for signing...(28,740 have signed it so far!)

ps. have yahoo made it that we can't click on links now - it's not only on your question?
