Hey ya'll
I live in Florida and am expecting a very important letter from someone in New Jersey. This letter is going through regular mail, not anything special, just basic mail.
I had just moved here and was wondering if any of u have an idea of when I shall recieve it. I was told it was mailed out on Fri the 27th & today is Tues Aug. the 1st???
Also, is there any way I can track just regular mail? |

When and if the letter turns up, see if it has a bar code on the bottom.
A trace can be placed from it's origination P.O.
Automated mail has it's kinks in it, and it's through the dedication of many unknown but dedicated letter carriers that the mail finally reaches destination.
Under ordinary circumstances, that letter should have reached you no later than Monday...the third business day.
Mail delivery is a labor of love and has never been perfect, which is why letters turn up decades later having been lost in the system (trapped in a desk or caught in a fixture that when moved after many years, reveals a lost letter...is what makes the business very interesting.
Good luck in pursueing that letter. It may turn up soon...maybe. |

If your mail was originally sent to your old address and has to be forwarded, it will most likely take 7-10 days.
If it is coming to your new address it should take 3-5 days from the date that it was sent (not including Sundays).
There is no way to track regular mail.
After 14 days you can file Mail Loss/Rifling Report. |

If you DID NOT leave a change of address with the USPS (postal Service) then NEVER! Difficult if not impossible to track regular mail. They should have sent it Delivery Confirmation. |
