1. Unlike Target, they would not look up my credit card transaction in lieu of a receipt.
2. Won't match walmart.com's lower prices.
3. So I'm screwed with having returned an item . The charge is on my credit card. But, they only gave me a store credit.
I will avoid Walmart. Target makes returns very very easy. Thank you Target.

Yeah, I worked there. I actually made the mistake of working there twice!! Once when I was a teenager as a part time job (which, upon high school graduation, found a much better one) and then another time (another store too) where I needed a few extra bucks and my company was denying overtime. The second time, i told them I didn't want to work more than 16-20 hours a week, but they continuously scheduled me 25 or more, and this was a second job!!! AND, those people for whom walmart was the only source of income, they wouldn't give the hours to! I asked them TWICE about this before I just "stopped going" (ie. quit) so that if it ever occurred to me that working for them was a good idea, they wouldn't hire me anyway! |

Personally, no. But I think the Walmart phenomenon is about to run its course. When the late Sam Walton was in charge, he went out of his way to find American manufacturers to stock his stores. The new breed could care less where they get the stuff from. That will have serious long-term repercussions to the US economy. |
