Has anyone else been ripped off by "computertrading" via "ebay"?
I paid £74 +£20 p&p for a laptop from "ebay" seller "computertrading" and did not recieve the item. After being ripped off by them I did a little investigating & discovered that I'm not the first person to be ripped off by "computertrading" via "ebay, but I am trying to stop this from happening to anyone else. So I would like to ask has anyone else been ripped off by "computertrading" via "ebay"? & will anyone who has join my campain to put them out of business?

Where did you think a £74 laptop came from ? Off the back of a lorry ? So you were prepared to benefit from a rip off (or more likely a straightforward theft) and now you've been ripped off. And you want sympathy because....................?

Did you pay by PAYPAL - if you did - raise a dispute and claim no receipt of goods - that way if the dispute is proved in your favour then the money will be returned by paypal .

Or if you paid by credit card - contact them and some have fraud protection schemes for internet purchase

Or of course - call the police or trading standards.
But don't do nothing

bugaboo
I certainly won't be buying from them..

You can dispute the transaction either through my ebay or paypal. and you will get your money back, may be it is just a mistake in the address or a simple problem.

the real problem happens if you fell for a phishing email, in a simpler term. someone find that you are bidding on an item in ebay an gets your personal email.
then he email you outside ebay claiming he is from the company or person you are bidding on their item (without being really associated with them). usually offering you a second chance offer or a sale price and ask you to pay him through western union or other unsafe method. and so you end up sending money outside the ebay/paypal system. in this case they can't help you.

Almost anyone who dealt with ebay either as a buyer or a seller got his fair share of such emails. that is why ebay warn you they are not responsible for any thing that occur outside their mailing system. and you agree on that in your service agreement.
If you have a link for the item you can post it and we can help you invistgate it

Have you told eBay about the problem though?

They will stop these people from using eBay to trade as long as they have evidence - and you should get your money back if you used one of the online payment methods such as PayPal.

This is why you investigate them BEFORE you pay the money.

Or, alternatively, put the money in escrow so you know what youre getting before you pay.

Ohh dear. Did you really expect to get a lappy for £74 though.

Try starting a group - and see if you can contact any of their other unhappy customers. If there are enough of you, with sufficient evidence, its possible you can get some sort of class action case going. Good luck

Well they seem to have a good feedback rating of 97.9%

http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/computertrading

So I don't know what happened.

All you can do is instruct paypal to initiate a chargeback on your credit card payment, if you can, and leave them bad feedback on Ebay saying you were ripped off.

But of course do try to contact ComputerTrading first and give them every opportunity to resolve the problem.
