i recived a letter with a check and a list of things to do. the money is good to help with the bills and all of it was in the check. is this a scam? has anyone ever done this before? how does it all work? i have a number to call but i wanted to get some input first for some people that might have done it. thank you |

There are a lot of different secret shopper companies out there. Some of them are great and some of them are not. I never heard of getting a check prior to doing the shopping though. So call the number and find out what is up with them.
As a general rule, the company has a list of clients. The clients want to know certain things about their employees and service. For example: an ice cream chain wants to know how long it took to get your burger, was it done properly or as you ordered it and did the counter rep offer you a receipt or count back your change etc.
Being a secret shopper can really improve your income but you have to check them out carefully. I've known other shoppers that ended up spending more money than they got back! |

I've worked as a mystery shopper before. I had to go to Mcdonalds, order three items then pay for them. I then filled in the survey and submitted it, I got my meal refunded that I'd paid for and I got $20. |

its usually fake and end up listing to a long speech for you to buy something, because they know you like shopping, and also you waste a lot of gam. |

This sounds like a scam but there are genuine mystery shopping companies.
Look around and contact one you think seems OK.
My sister is registered with a couple of companies here in the UK a typical assignment would be to go to Mcdonalds and buy £5 worth of food.
She then fills out an online questionnaire about waiting times,standard of service e.t.c.
She gets the £5 refunded and a fee usually £5/£10.
I went with her to one and she got £60 for spending an hour at a bingo hall.
The money goes into your bank account monthly.

Just don't pay anything up front you don't pay these companies at all they pay you!
