sunnydayz | Has anyone every heard of Pink Parties? |
It is a direct selling company like Avon, or Pampered Chef, but they sell adult toys and other "sexy" products. There reps are called Pink Divas. I was thinking about joining in and selling the product. I'm trying to find out if they are legit. It's hard to tell these days. |

Well there's legit. And there's multi-level-marketing (MLM), also known as network marketing (NM) nowadays.
I've not heard of Pink Parties, but I have heard of Passion Parties, which sounds very similar. They exist, they're legal and all that. But like most networking companies, they exist based on the idea that in order to make money, you really need to recruit more marketers (divas in your example) to your "downline". It's all based on the number of people below you, and what level they are at, etc. The higher your downline reps achieve, the higher "director" or whatever level you get. And the higher up you get, the better your passive income stream becomes. At the lower levels, you have to do a LOT of selling to earn your commissions.
There's nothing wrong with this type of business, but you need to be very good at marketing! If you enjoy the products and are happy to sell them, there should be no limit to your potential income. However, if you are embarrassed by the product or simply by the idea of trying to sell (people are quick to say "No, thanks" to anything that smells like MLM or NM these days), then you'll have a hard time making your monthly quotas - I know several people who wind up ordering closets full of stuff they'll never use, just to maintain their "Director" level!
The other problems I've found is that many of them require you to NOT do any other MLM/NM business at the same time. Guess what? That means you are limited to what they have to offer - if you find better products, you have to drop out of the current MLM program and start fresh somewhere else!
Also, many of the MLM/HM companies do not let you sign up in your corporate name - so you're taking all the responsibility personally - that is the big one for me! I prefer to do everything corporate, so I never sign up! :)
Think carefully before you jump in. If you are a natural marketer, you may really enjoy this, but even so, I suspect you'd do better starting your own company and marketing IT instead of someone else's products! :)
Good luck,

I went to a party like that that my workmate held, but the company was called something else. It wasn't creepy or kinky or anything, and we had a lot of fun. It was a little embarrassing at the start, but after a few champagnes it was okay. You would need to be confident to talk openly and honestly to people about the different aspects of the products, and also be very informed. I'd probably go again to one - It was a laugh. Much more fun than Tupperware. |

I've never heard of them either. I'm a Passion Parties Consultant. I did a lot of comparisons before I picked Passion Parties and I applaud you for doing your homework first to see what each business has to offer you. The first thing I did was search the BBB and other business reports online. I wanted my company to be classy and respectful. Passion Parties doesn't have names on products that would be offensive or you would be afraid to leave something in the shower and kids find it.
A good resource for you is to view this website www.sextoypartydirectory.com and then click on "compare companies" . Or go directly to the link at http://sextoypartydirectory.com/compare.html
for the Better Business Bureau ratings for adult novelty companies. Then click on the BBB ratings icon for more information about each company just below each listing.
Only companies that have been in business over 2 years and have met the some of the following criteria are listed :
• Length of time in business • Philanthropic activities
• Industry reputation • Annual retail sales
• Press and media coverage • Consultant benefits
• Compensation plan • Customer satisfaction
• Number of active consultants • Training and events
You can go to my website at www.passionpartiesbydonna.com for more information about Passion Parties or contact me directly at passionpartiesbydonna@yahoo.com . I don't have an ad on that directory but we are nationwide and I can answer any question you may have.
Hope this information is helpful. Have fun in what ever business you choose and stay safe.
