Have private investigators ever followed you (harassed you?)?
I ran into a problem when working as a software developer for a major credit card company. I uncovered an error that would have let customer service people access CC numbers easily. As soon as I told someone they fired me and had people on me. It was scary.
Major credit card company, hey? Well, I assume that you were not in a position to document this or have any proof. Why don't you report them to the consumer protection, they will keep you anonymity if you ask them to.
If you had any proof, I assume you would have gone to the police. I am guessing that the only reason you were followed is so that they can find any type of dirt on you just in case you did report them, they would have slapped you with this. They might go as far as to commit fraud on "your" behalf and if you report them, they would have blamed you.
If you are planning on making this public, make sure that you cover your grounds and have some sort of back-up or proof. These people don't f.u.c.k. around and are pretty much capable of "covering" their mistakes, if you know what I mean.
