Yes, in Barrow in Furness it's the norm. The service is very good and staff will take you to an empty till as well if they see you waiting... Asda don't do it. |

I don't have a Tesco near me, but in my supermarket, I tend to be in a long queue and when another queue opens up I'm too far away to take advantage and everybody behind me gets there first! |

Yes - but that was before 2003 when I left the country! I still miss Tesco though so don't knock them. |

No. They normally seem to be shutting down till when I get there even if I go during the day. |

Yes--My corner Tesco Express is actually quite good about it. If the person behind the till sees that there is a queue, he/she rings a bell and at least one other employee turns up to open another till. |

No but it makes a good advert. I always ask for more tills to be opened if there is a queue. It irritates me to see folk walking around looking busy when shoppers are standing waiting. |

No, you must be kidding! The nearest Tesco to me seems to be run by lobotomised chimps. The staff there would rather stand and have a chat between them and leave one (very slow) person on the checkout to deal with a queue of 20 people. Needless to say, most of my shopping gets online from Sainsbury's! |
