I currently work there part-time because I do have a full time that I like. But I don't like it that much to work there for free. Primerica has given me a financial education that I have never learned in high school or in college. Not many people know what a mutual fund is or how money works. If they did, they would of invest their money into mutual funds instead of saving all their money in the bank.

Primerica also gave me the opportunity to earn some additional income and the opportunity to build a business. An extra thousand or so per month has helped me a great deal. As soon as my monthly income at Primerica exceeds what I make at my job, then I would quit my full time job. Of course I would have to work consistently in Primerica to do that.

You should ask yourself why did you join Primerica? You need a strong reason on why you want to do this business. Maybe you want to help your parents retire and provide income for their retirement. Maybe you want to retire earlier than the average person. Maybe you want to travel all over the place.

What do you want to achieve in life? Buy a new car? Buy a big house?

What is your game plan to achieve your goals?

Actually yes, I know of two people and they almost got me into, it. They sell you on how much money you will make and how great the benefits are, but you have to be able to sell people things. basically your an insurance sales men, when I was originally getting into it, I kept asking "what will I be doing" and I kept getting all these round about answers, but what it comes down to is you will be an insurance sales person. You have to be able to drive all over the place to get these sales, and you have to be willing to take rejection. Now if you live somewhere that is big enough for you to people to buy what your selling then you can make a lot of money, but you have to go out and get them, and you have to be good enough to persuade them to get what your selling. Good luck, for my personal life it wasn't worth it, but I do know a few people that have been successful with it.

My sister "was" a member of that financial cult. It is a pyramid type of business as the goal is to get a "downline" of people under you so every time they write a life insurance policy, sell a home loan, or investments you get a small percentage. They do have a support group to help you get your licenses (i.e. Series 6, Life Insurance) but you could do that on your own and do it part time just hook up with a reputable company. The requires you to attend these weekly meetings that can sometime run on for a couple of hours. I made the mistake of letting my sister talk me into going to one of these I left in the middle of it.

Primerica is a good company who offers a good service. The real reason most people fail is because it is a lot of work, and they won't put in the time or effort. It is hard to get going.

Doctor Deth
Don;t do it unless you want to be a life insurance agent (which no one likes talking to) - It's an MLM company like Amway, except they sell insurance and investment products (which you buy elsewhere with no sales commissions)
