So I bought an item on ebay for 90.00. on aug18 I email the seller last week to ask when will it b shipped and they told me thursday. this is just a seller not a store on ebay(i know I should have been more careful) so i waited and it"s now tuesday the item location is from New jersey and Iam in Rhode Island I dont think it would take that long to shipped. I email again yester still no response back . Iam gonna giove it two more days and then file a not recieve item on ebay! would I be able to get my money back? did anybody have similar problem?

You are a little bit premature... they are not required to ship the same day that you pay. BUT keep after them and ask for the exact shipping date (and tracking number?). You can still open a dispute to demand a response from a non-responsive seller. You can also request the seller’s phone number and call them.
Did you purchase insurance if it gets 'lost' in the mail? Good idea for larger purchases in the future.
Purchasing from a company is not bad.. just watch their feedback. |

It's only been less than a week. The seller most likely shipped the item through ground service. It will take longer to arrive. I wouldn't worry until 1 month later. |

They probably shipped it Parcel Post 3rd class, and yes it might as well have gone to China and back. I ordered something from JC Penneys with FREE shipping, took over 14 days and the warehouse is in Illinois, I'm in Minnesota. So hang in there. If you paid by credit card and haven't received the item in two weeks, I would put a stop payment on it. Otherwise you may be stuck. |

You should ask for a tracking number before filing for anything. It's only been 10 days so yeah it's slow but not terribly bad. Wait a few more days, if they cannot provide tracking number and the item still haven't come, ask them to show the receipt from the post office. the receipt normally shows the zip code that they mail to even if they didn't purchase the tracking code. Hope that helps. |
