No its a scam. Its probably one guy (or a few) who send out 1000's (maybe 100's of thousands) of these eMails to anyone who's address they can find. They use the name of a real company (like yahoo) but the phone number and address is for them. A few of the recipients call back and ask for more info. The guy says yes you have won a fabulous prize but there is a fee for shipping/ processing/ verification (whatever) and you must pay that first. You pay the fee and never hear from the company again.
Call the company a few weeks later and the phone number is probably disconnected.

It might have a virus so if you open it you might screw up your computer. Uusually if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. |

There are a great number of scams on the internet that use legitimate companies as forefronts to acquire names and other identification so they can be used for identity theft. A good rule of thumb is: If it sounds too good to be true it probably isn't. If you have already given your credit card number to these people
I suggest you contact your issuer to get a new card and destroy your old one. |

It's a scam, period .You didn’t enter a lottery, and YAHOO isn’t running a lottery. All you are going to win is an empty bank account and more trouble than you ever dreamed of. Possibly a “courier” bill for a few thousand to “deliver” a “prize” you’ll never see. If you want to bother, forward the fraudulent email to phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com, spam@uce.gov, and 419.fcd@usss.treas.gov.
