Help with starbucks application?
1)The date next to the social security insurance number, do i put my date of birth or the date i filled the application?

2)For salary desired do i put an annual amount or an hourly amount?

3)I need some examples for skills relevant for a barista.

4)When they ask for references, could they be any references or do they have to work at starbucks?

I know that some of these questions might seem easy and common sense but this is the first job i am applying for and i really really want to get this job.

1. It's probably the days date. (do NOT leave anything blank on your application)!!!! Put N/A (not applicable) like under 'previous employment' since you haven't worked before.

2. put hourly amount.

3. idk

4. References are people that are NOT related to you - they don't have to work at Starbucks, but if you happen to know someone that does and they say you can use them as a reference then go for it. But in general it's people who have known you for a few years - in your case since you've never worked before - you can use friends or teachers or neighbors who can say what your character is like.

5. Good luck! In reference to #3 - go with what the other person posted about liking coffee...can't remember everything but it was very unique and a good answer. I have interviewed a lot of people (not for Starbucks) and something like that is MUCH better answer than the usual "well.....I don't know I've never....blah blah blah." I like to hear different and original answers when I interview people. Try to be engaging, not too personal. You'll do fine! Best of Luck!

-references can be anyone
-skills - say you love coffee, have always experimented at home by making the family coffee and you were always the one to decided to add more or less milk, add chocolate or even mint or other things in. say you like serving people, when friends come over you always make them something, it is ok if you say iced tea or variations of hot chocolate. dont say alcohol though.
you can say you like the feeling that you get when you visit starbucks you would like to have more of that feeling by working there.
under $ you put hourly, i dont think you are going to work in their corporate office and so i am assuming hourly. you can say $10/hour and if they want to pay less they will tell you the amount they want to office.

1) todays date
2) ___ per hour.
3)google it. tons of stuff
4)any references (like lets say you used to work at a 7 11 or something a boss would be an example of a reference.

good luck:)

1. I would assume date of birth, but it would be safest to leave that blank and ask one of the employees working there when you return the application.

2. Hourly wage.

3. Skills relevant to a barista would include working a cash register, taking food orders, and other customer service jobs.

4. They can be references from anywhere as long as they aren't related to you. Examples would be previous employers, neighbors, coaches, etc.

Good luck! =)

1. idk
2. hourly
3. idk
4. any

Shuddertoes
1. Probably your date of birth
2. Hourly
3. Any kind of job dealing the with public would be fine. Starbucks will teach you how to make the drinks.
4. Any reference would be fine

Hope you get the job!
