Hooters fired me for no reason?
I was fired at Hooters before I even started my first day?
I went through the three days of training at hooters & when I came in to work to start my first day the manager told me I was fired. wow, they didnt even give me a chance to work. And they wont pay me for the days that I trained. this has never happened to me. Can they do this? Can I sue them?
What are you going to sue for.........$300 bucks..........a waste of time.......suck it up and move on...........they just decided they didn't like you........sorry.............
Tim
Contact the labor department in your state. They can help you determine if you have a claim according to the law in your state
Sarah
you can sue them but legal fees would cost more then what you would have been paid.
they just didnt want to hire you.
i got fired a few weeks ago for no reason at all. we are at will employees, we can be let go for wearing a color the manager doesnt like and they are in there legal limits. its highly unfair.
i wanted to get back at them too. but after i got over it i realized Im just a cashier. theres better jobs out there. and i need to focus majorly on school. everything happens for a reason. your meant for bigger and better things. is hooters really worth getting upset over?
it hurts losing your job, you feel rejected and pissed off. but you can still call home office about this to see if they did anything unprofessional. did they give you a reason as to why you were being let go? they have to tell you exactly why you are fired, they cant lie about it or leave information out. then home office would reprimand the store you were employeed.
but just move on. is that the career you really wanted?

Answer Man
Yes they can do this. No you cannot sue them.
They basically did not decide to hire you.
You did not officially sign a contract that state you need to work for a certain amount of years. So therefore, you cannot do anything against them.
Its not love, but its not bad
they can fire you for no reason within so many days after training but them not paying for your 3 days sounds messed up. i dont know
