base on your written english, your written english is good enough for you to be a hotel manager. I've seen a lot of hotel managers where english is not their first language, they have an accent when the speak english, but that is perfectly fine. If you can speak english with people in Australia and people don't have trouble understanding you, then your spoken english will be ok. It doesn't matter if english is your first or second language. Whats more important is your skills and experience in the hotel industry if you want to be a hotel manager. Usually it takes more than 5-6 years inorder for one to become a hotel manager at small to medium size hotel. Most well known hotels hire managers that have at least 10 years of experience in the hotel industry.
I would advise start early and go do internships at hotels during your summer breaks, this will help you build up your experience quickly. |

Take classes and practice chatting with people. I think reading in English will also help you to expand your vocabulary and become familiar with proper grammar. You will improve. Good luck! |

if you wrote this yourself, you are way above the average English speaking person.
rent English(American) soaps. They speak slowly, have lots of drama. usually have a vocabulary of about 500 words.
From your spelling I think you are learning American English.

I am a Cn. caucasian and my wife and daughter are Vn. We have a lot of fun with them learning En. As for myself learning Vn. Well, forget it. Too Tough!
I have many friends from other countries and if you closed your eyes while you were talking to them you would never know where they came from.

Living in a country that speaks english will help greatly improve your english skills. Stay as long as you can!
Having a dictionary handy always helps as well, so if you don't understand something, you can look it up and translate it for yourself.
Watching Tv, in english and reading english newspapers/blogs/magazines will also help you be more natural at structuring sentences, and getting present and past tense correct in your speech. If you're going back to your native country to be a hotel manager you should be set. Most people understand anyway even if people do get a few grammatical things wrong.
Gaining experience in Hotel management also will help. If you can volunteer somewhere to learn how things work will also help.
