Do things you don't particularly want to do. Put in a few hours on your own time if that's what it takes. Make it worth the boss's while to keep you and keep you happy. |

That is very considerate of you...earning money to buy presents for your family! Very decent of you. Too bad about your job. My advice is this:
Describe to us what you were working as. This will help us guide you to get a job.
Apart from getting a job, you could try to get a low interest loan. However, beware interest. The whole time you should be trying to get a job: you should do fine if you walk in to an appointment and act professional.
Finally, I see no other way, apart from selling things to a pawn shop, or stealing (which is not ethical...kind of like the Grinch)
The stack market can also be of great help. Remember... always be careful with investments and don't spend all your money all at once.

Shops employ extra people now for the busy Christmas season, so you can apply for jobs in supermarkets, or any big store. The more places you try, the better your chances of getting a job.. |

I'm sure your family would understand if you bought them smaller presents. There are loads of Christmas jobs up for grabs right now - apply for one of those. OK, so you may not get £2,000, but you'd get enough for some decent gifts. You may also like to look at why you got fired, so the same thing doesn't happen again. |

I for one like these questions, I dont know why people dont help when someone ask such things, we should all try and help each other. I do believe thre are many ways to make money but finding the right way is hard and a forum like this can conjure up lots of ideas.
you could sell stuff on ebay, any old Pratchett books, first edition potter books, novelty kiddy suits ie micky mouse, buzz light year, check out charity shops christening suits a good tea set, and resell on ebay,
Its hard trying to make money without that start up but persevere think, and stay positive.
