A chain starts with a single successful store. So, you need to define your concept. Determine how much it would cost for you to build and open your first single store. Then you need to understand/determine what your store's operating costs would be. This includes renting a building, staffing and paying for salaries, overhead costs such as electricity and heat, etc... Then you need to figure out how to finance it. You should be able to find templates for building a business plan on the SBA (Small Business Association) websites. I think it is http://www.sba.gov/
Are you more interested in running and managing the store or are you interested in designing and manufacturing the clothes?
If you are interested in manufacturing and designing the clothes, a good start might be to see if your clothes would sell in somebody elses store before attempting to open your own. This would reduce the amount of money you would have to put into it.
In short, start with small incremental steps. Build on your successes to help you get toward your goals. |

Gather all cloths that you're not using anymore. You can also ask your close friends and relatives if they have any spare cloths that's not in use.
Have a nice room or area for your boutique, design it with the latest trend, enough lightning and visual effect.
Arrange all those clothing you gather in a clean and neat way.
Don't overprice your stuff and put an extra musical sound in your boutique. |

you have to be more specific..there are so many aspects in the clothing industry. If you are going to be designing then you have to find someone that will back you and manufacture. If you plan on doing retail, then you just have to rent a space and start selling what you already have. |

Start small. What if you open up a vintage clothing store? You could shop at thrift store in upscale nieghborhoods, and resell them for $$ on ebay! Lots of people make alot of $$ selling vintage costume jewelry, clothing and shoes. But I warn you to start off small, y'know small investments and really get to know ebay first.
