It depends entirely if the company your are researching is based in an industrial country which most likely has a directory of all licensed corporations which operate domestically and internationally. If by chance the company you are seeking is based in a third world country the most likely way to obtain information is through their embassy or consulate. |

The most important question is what type of information you require. Various online resources like Alacra, Factiva, Lexis, Thomson and One Source will provide you a full company report, background report and much more at the push of a button. All these resources however require that you subscribe.
If you do not want to spen that type of money, the best place to start is the company's own web page. Most international companies have to comply with very strict financial reporting guidelines, so have a look at their latest financial reports. If it is a listed company, you should be able to fiund some stock performance report for free on the net. |
