First of all evaluate your performance. Do you do as much work as anybody else? Do you understand the tasks that you are supposed to do? Are you asking intelligent questions if you do not understand?
You speak of intimidation. Are you punctual? Do you miss work often? Do you have a lot of excuses? If you say no to all of those questions ask your supervisor for a performance review. If it is good tell him that you feel harassed because of your race and ethnicity and that you will file a complaint if it does not stop. But be sure you you are on solid ground.
Last year a woman of colour was fired from the place where I worked. She lodged a complaint citing discrimination because of her race and ethnicity. The Manager was able to document that she came in late frequently, often left early, used her computer excessively for personal stuff. Since she and another person were doing exactly the same work, he was able to produce work statistics that showed she was only doing 60% compared to the other person. She did not win her claim, did not get a good recommendation and was not re-instated.
It is against the law to discriminate on the basis of colour, race or ethnicity, but in the workplace the same expectations apply to all persons. Good luck. |

Perhaps you are using your race as an excuse instead of acknowledging other shortcomings responsible for your treatment. I don't know what your job entails, but I personally wouldn't show much respect for someone who can't spell "apparently", and race would have nothing to do with it. |

Just do your job well. If you arent really happy with the workplace, then your only choice will be to look for another one.
