Just guessing here, but part of the greeters job is to deter theft and I think this would be real hard to do if the greeter were blind. Perosnally I'm all for hiring people with disabilities and equal opportunities for all, but if I'm going in for heart surgery I want a perfectionist surgeon with 20/20 eyesight in both eyes. I mean there are limits.

Well, think about it. Around here they check your receipt when you leave (not sure why - something for them to do, I guess), so sight is required.
