WTF is the french for? I didn't know wal-mart was so big in France? Additional Details By the way, I mean the tiny little writing on the bottom and the instructions.
I believe it reduces the manufacturing costs for the US/Canada market. The primary language is English, but there is a desire in the US market for Spanish, and in the Canadian market for French.

Most corporations are global in scope. You may be overlooking those countries other than France that speak French....like Canada.

Some people are lucky enough to be able to speak/read/write more than one language and live in a country other than where they are from so the toy companies cater for everyone, plus alot of toys sold in walmart are probably sent overseas aswell. The French could be for French speaking Canadians???

It's cheaper to make one box or directions or supplemental materials with multiple languages and print large quantities then printing different boxes in smaller quantities. Now sometimes in marketing, manufactures will print other boxes but they usually have different colors and sometimes words have negative sales in different countries.
It is also easier in shipping becouse you don't have to worry if that area of the world can read that language.
I wonder what percent of North American can not read at least one of the three languages English, Spanish or French
