You may be on the do not call list, but because you were a past customer you waived that right with AT&T. Next time they call tell them you want to be taken off their call list and put on what's called the "No Pander List" also. Pandering is trying to get you to buy something or go with something (like suggestive selling). Say you call your bank to ask about a check or something, when you're done and the call rep says "Can I interest you in a ...", that's pandering. |

Tell them to make a note in their records to quit calling you, otherwise you will report them to your state's Attorney General. Let the person you are speaking to know that you are writing information down. Make sure that you get their phone number, company name and the name of the person you are talking to, as well as the date and time. If they continue to call you, continue taking notes and continue to report them to the state's Attorney General. After the first offense(they give them one) they get fined. After the third offense and increased fine they can lose their telemarketing rights.
This should stop the annoying calls.

Tell them to remove you from their list, and keep a diary of these calls. Then file a complaint with your state AG's office. |

Hi Worried,
You place a call to their customer service number and tell them to stop calling you. That is what FINALLY worked for me. They drove me crazy calling and even came to the house twice.
If you have done business with a company the do not call list doesn't apply to them.

Start blowing a ref's whistle in their ear when they call. Eventually, they will get the point: "Leave the b**** alone!" No offense, I'm a b****, too. : ) |

They can call you because you used to be a customer, even if you have your phone number listed on the national do not call list.
Next time they call, just ask them to put you on their do not call list and they will stop calling. |

Yes, the next time they call, tell them that you want to be removed from their list and that you do not want them calling you anymore and if they do, you will report them. You can report them through the do not call list website. Don't be rude, just be firm. It's worked for me. |

You might have to change your home number or call your telepone company and ask them what your options are. |
