I say don't wait to get noticed, if there is something you want (increase, promotion) ask for it and state in writing WHY and HOW the company will benefit from granting your request. If your request is denied, ask what you can do or should be doing differently to accomplish the what you are requesting, get it in writing from "the powers that be" then do what you are told.
If you are trying to get noticed by the opposite sex (or same sex, I supposed), I can't help you. I'm a complete looser in that arena. |

Everybody is unique. Look into yourself and analyze the things that make you different from others. Use those unique characteristics, passions, hobbies, abilities, philosophies, etc. -- whatever it/they might be, and incorporate them into conversation or some form of expression in your daily routine.
People gravitate towards and notice others who can be unique, down to earth, confident, and like helping others. Confidence, not arrogance. As you try different things, study the reactions of others around you. See how they respond. Don't try to stand out too much. That will make you seem odd.
Standing out from the crowd to be noticed while still being a regular guy and remaining true to oneself takes practice and is somewhat of a balancing act. Again, confidence and not arrogance, while helping others, shows leadership. People dig it. |

Rule 1: Be very clear in gaining understanding when asking or answering questions.
2. Think about the team not about yourself
3.Work only to help others and be appreciative of the work of others
4.Learn as much as you can about the context of your work.Listen, read, and ask questions.
5.Take on grunt work willingly as well as the good stuff.
6.Try be positive as much as humanly possible but don't be afraid to ask challenging questions. |
