Think about an MBA... hear it is tuff but one of these gets you started, after that it is all about your attitude and personality. Some colleges also have Entrepreneur courses you can take to be sure your up for the challenge.
A CEO is basically a guy who could own the whole business and run it smooth but he just does not want the financial burden.

Depends on the size of the business.
1. A small business entrepreneur (someone who started the business) is often the CEO until the company grows big enough to be bought by a larger company. These CEOs have great ideas, business skills, and the ability to sell their ideas to customers and investors. They build the business from nothing.
2. Large companies, like those traded in the stock markets, have a Board of Directors. The board hires the CEO. Sometimes they promote someone who already works there, sometimes they hire someone from outside the company. These people are usually experts at managing people and resources, but don't have to be experts in the company's products. They generally have started out their careers as managers, often have MBA degrees. They usually work their way up the corporate ladder to head of a division, then get groomed for upper management. |

They dont really just become ceo, they get promoted, alot and alot.
Takes a long time usually, but sometimes they just become ceo of a small company, and then they are so good at it, that they make their company huge. |
