I hear that they are becoming more acceptable in the business field. But in my opinion, you may not advance in your career due to the way you look. I believe if you get a tattoo put it some place where you can hide it. |

Well it depends what type of business you're talking about. In most service industry jobs, tattoos are ok. In the corporate world, I think they are definitely frowned upon. Most major corporations have dress codes that specifically prohibit a tattoo showing while in the workplace. Definitely get it on an area that will always be covered at work (like lower back). |

If an employee of mine has tattoos (some do), they cannot be seen by the general public. My team is a professional team, and I feel that to effectively achieve that, we must look professional (thus no visible tattoos) They are not my cup of tea, but I don't discriminate about one's decision to get tattoos, but until someone rips my business from my cold, dead hands, It's my call and I say no VISIBLE tats... |

We feel it's unprofessional specially if in plain view. By the way tattoos are going out of style lots of people are now getting them off. Very expensive to do. |
