Does anyone know how I can possibly stick it to Comcast (since they are already sticking it to me)? I switched to them in February from a satellite company because they promised me a bundled rate of $60 for 12 months. Now I am being charged $100 a month. I got 1 extra service (HBO) and I have 3 boxes, of which I pay $7 extra a month for (all of which I got when I signed up for the service and I was paying the $64,79 as promised). I got rid of the HBO because that was $16 more a month. I still have the $4 starz package.
The person on the other end told me that the rate for the internet that I was getting was only for 6 months. Yes, that was supposed to be a part of my 12 month bundled service.
I tried to get rid of STARZ just now and they said they would have to charge me $5 just to delete it.
ARE YOU F'ING SERIOUS?!?!?!
So when I got that news I told the girl I wanted to speak to a supervisor. She said there were none currently available. I told her I would wait.
So I waited.
And waited.
And waited.
I waited for over an hour (my phone has a minute timer on it) and still no supervisor.
I finally hung up. I am disgusted that I am a PAYING (never been late) customer.
Help? Does anyone know what I can do to maybe get my rates back down??? I only have the digital cable and the internet. Is there anything I can say to them to maybe get them to want to keep me and give me a better rate???? I already told the moron on the other end that I was offered a better deal with dish network and she IGNORED it. that’s when I said that I wanted a supervisor. And that’s when I proceeded to be on hold for an hour and 12 minutes.
HELP?!??!?!???!???! WHAT ARE THE MAGIC WORDS?!?!??!

Score 1 for Comcast.
If you're unhappy with Comcast service and there are no other cable vendors available in your area, then Dish is pretty much your only option. Comcast has zero incentive to cut you any deals - they have a lot of customers who are a 'captive' audience (apparently you're one of them).
Had you considered cutting TV out of your life? I know; radical idea. But we did that at my house seven years ago and at this point not only do we not miss it, we're actually very glad to have the time available that we were spending (wasting) in front of the boob tube. We got a Netflix subscription and watch maybe a couple movies a week... that's it. We get to pick and choose what we want to watch, and we have complete control of when. |

First off, do you have anything in writing that they were going to give you this rate for 12 months. The only promotions I have seen with them are 3 to 6 months in duration. If you do indeed have something in writing then you have something to take to small claims court and can possibly get a ruling that they have to abide by it.
Second, cancel your service and go with the other company. They are not going to do anything if you only say you were offered a better deal. Now, if you are acting on that better deal that may be another story.
The thing is, these introductory rates always revert to their normal rates when they are up. And again, I have not seen a promotion from them that gives you the introductory rate for more than 3 to 6 months. |

Tell them that you will got to anther company or will they price match. Is it possible to cancel and then sign up as a "new member" ?? Or aske them what they are willing to do to keep you as a customer. You could also try that you are simply tight on cash and you need to simplify. Hope this helps. I worked for a customer serv company and we would ask them if retainer questions like, if I offer you a discount fo rthe next 6 months would you be wiling to stay?? As far as asking for a supervisor, make sure you make it known to ask each persoon you talk to and if they ask why just tell them well, I am making a note of teh day and time I talked to you so that I can keep it in my files. SOmeti,es this scares them enough that they will be acountable to a boss if they do not handle it with the best of intentions. Also do this with a supervisor. Where I worked we would just use a different agent as a superpervisor. If you dont get resolution, ask for their manager and keep gping up. Eventually the manager will get busy enough and tell the agent to just give you what you ask for (or compromise). You can also try to leave your number for a supervisor to call you back and dont be afraid to ask for teh super's direct phone number. Hope this helps! |

Let's see, you want a company to sell you something for less than they charge other customers, and you think they are morons for not doing so? Do what you do any time you get what you consider poor service. Move to one of their competitors. For internet access you should have several alternatives. For TV, you can go to one of the Satellite providers. |

I've called and told them of deals with other cable carriers. Then I ask what are their best deals now, and that I want them. I was able to get the new customer deals, although I was an old customer. Sounds like they just upped your bill, when it should have been the introductory prices.
Consider writing a complaint letter. I hope you have the names and dates of who you spoke with to include in your complaint. They list an email address on their website, the link is below.
I'm now a former Comcast customer. I had terrible problems with their customer service. I hope they've gotten better. Good luck.
