I can understand not getting fired up dealing with dysfunctional/abusive families, alcohol and drug addicts, etc. everyday.
Perhaps you could think of a way to boost moral with co-workers...have a coffee & doughnut get together 10 mins. before you start your stressful job...think of positive experiences you've had...ask your employer for a letter of recommendation, it will show you how well you are doing and make you feel worthy...ask for a raise and recieve one.

It's really hard to get fired up for a job unless you like it very well. Your own business (perhaps very small) is usually the best, you can get fired up for it and the days fly.

If you have convinced yourself that you don't want to do something or be somewhere, There is very little you can do to enjoy it.

Try mind mapping. Associate your job in your mind with something that you like very much. do that regularly. in not time, everytime you think about your job, your mind associate it with your favourite activity/event and you get fired up naturally.
