it's not just about singing...you have to do it well, and more importantly you cant just sound like a new Mariah Carey, Britanny Spears, etc.
You should have a unique sound that helps set your apart.
You also need to look the part, sadly...if you're too fat you'll probably be asked to lose weight (i dont condone this behavior, but it's a reality anyway).
You'll also need to be willing to "sell" your work by dressing in ways that you might be uncomfortable with.
And, finally, it takes luck...because there are several others like you who are equally cute, talented and willing to dress provacatively. |

Send your tapes to the companies. Im sure you can get their adresses online.
But dont jsut have tapes of you singing. Get a good Program like Sonar and or Fruity loops, write your own lyrics and make your own beats or your own music on the guitar or piano or whatever. Then record your own songs. Put them onto a CD and send that to the companies. |
