It can be hard.It helps if you know someone in the business. Try sending a CV to all the record companies and music agents or else present yourself at the companies and and see if anyone will see you.Pester them so that they remember you. Tell them you want work experience and be perpared to work for nothing for a bit just to show them toy are keen and deserving. Try for a job in an ancillary occupation like promotion just so you can get contacts in the business. Good luck :-)

Well, first of all I'd ask that you need to think about what aspect of "the music business" you want to get into.
The problem with this question is that there are many different elements to "the music business". Obviously there is recording and artist work, but also there is the matter of intellectual property rights, agencies, and dancing, and broadcasting.
There is no one music business either. There are many different types.
The best thing I would advise you to is to think about your skills, and then be very very specific about the organisation you want to join. Draw up a CV and a cover letter, and send them by email a speculative application tailored to the organisation.

This very much depends on what you want to do. There are many different jobs in the music business.
The Book Garden
There are many different routes into the business, and it depends what you would like to do, or what your skills enable you to do.
