20x5= 100%
7x5= 35%

35%
Try to see how many times the bottom number goes into 100, 1000, 10000, 100000, ect
then, if it is 5, multipy the top number by 5

get it???

Kelle
To change a fraction to a percent, multiply by 100

7/20 x 100/1 =.......

7 divided by 20. = .35 or 35%
it works on any numbers
10/20= .5 or 50%
9/31= .29 or 29%
25/100= .25 or 25%

anki145
You have to make 7/20 an equivalent fraction with 100 in the denominator (7/20= x/100) then you can in this case multiply the 20 by 5 to get 100. What you do to the denominator you have to do to the numerator... (20*5=100, 7*5=35) Your final answer will be 35/ 100. A percent is always out of 100 and now that you have that, your answer is 35%

Just divide.

7 divided by 20 is 0.35. That's 35 percent.

divide 7/20 and multiply by 100, and there is your percent, for example 4 divided by 5 is 0.8 now if you multiply by 100 you get 80 percent hope this helps

Steve D
Divide the 7 by the 20, so you get a decimal (.35), then multiply by 100, so you get 35%

james l
7/20 x 5/5 = 35/100 or 35 percent. The above answer is incorrect

Skrumzee
Times it by five to fit it into 100 = 35/100 (35%)
