Depending on your stage in life, you may be able to have your parents or spouse support you while you take the dive and start a business on your own.
Even if someone else will be supporting you, you should save up as much money as possible in the short run. The biggest cause of business failure is not enough capital. |

Hey, just get started on what your desired passion is. I have worked for over 35 yrs on at least 80 jobs. But in the yr 2000, I really got tired of working for someone else and my passion was to find the certain niche. I took what skills I learned from working in so many fields, and started testing the waters for my own business. Since then, I have had plenty of failures, which now in yr 2006, reached what I was aiming for, success. I do mailorder and internet marketing at home, and love it with all my heart. It took some time, but I found it. So whatever it is that you feel so passion about, just start doing it, How to-business books, seminars, info from the net, mentor in your field of interest, whatever you got to do. Just never give up, or you will regret it for most of your life. And don't bring you work problems home, make that time for you to explore your passion. Turn the TV off and focus on how to get started. Write down goals that lead you to your passion and adjust them as you accomplish each one. Make this a road map for success. I did and it works. Super Good Luck. I believe you can do it. |

The thing is to get yourself out of the current job to move towards your business. Planning and saving: plan to cut back so you can get by on less and save towards that goal. Give yourself enough cushion to give it a real serious go before you end up on the street!
Every day you can do something towards building the business. Work on your business plan, investigate financing options, who your target market is and how to reach them. Break this down to bite size chunks so you can do one thing every day.
You might also consider a job that doesn't take so much of your time while you build up your business. It's difficult to be successful at both. You're going to have to determine which is most important to you and follow your heart. |

Think of all your interests & ask yourself if any of those could be expanded into a business. Just keep in mind...what's your expertise? What are your interests? What could you imagine yourself doing?
By researching the prospect of starting your own business -- what it entails, what you need to know, helpful hints, etc -- you'll feel better prepared to take that plunge.
