Because not everyone in a country hates capitalism. If you dont like what coke or Mcdonalds repesents, you dont have to buy it. The majority of people either like capitalism or would like it if they could participate in a capitalist system, but they cant because they dont have the money. |

Because people enjoy the food, and it is so cheap that they will not care. It is cheap and to them good. I think it is bad, and bad for the health of the people over seas. I boycitt their products, because it is fattening. But people overseas are drawn in by the low prices and how good the food tastes, it doesn't matter to them where to profits go, for them it is staying alive and getting food. |

There are many counties that hate capitalism but they all like coke and wear blue jeans. It takes time for them to relaize the error of their ways. |

One important way is by appealing to children who are too young to understand capitalism, globalization, etc. By getting consumers hooked when they are young children, McDonalds becomes part of their lifestyle and they forget what it represents.
Also, McDonalds also fills a niche in overseas markets that otherwise simply do not sell fast food. In many countries lunch breaks are two hours long and people eat three-course meals. The idea of fast-food and takeaway has only recently been introduced, and McDonalds doesn't have any local competitors in these markets. |
