It's hard to go through this because as an employee you want to be proud of the company you work for, you want to pull together with your coworkers to get through it and believe everything will be fine, but in reality we all realized today that this is not going to turn out fine for any of us. I'm torn between what our management tells us on conference calls and what we get bombarded with once we leave the office....just don't know what to believe.

It hasn't really affected me personally. However, it has taught me that no one should ever think they can "catch the falling knife". People who bought in at $27 a share on Friday thought they were getting a great deal. They just lost 85% of their money.

Sure I think they didn't disclose what they knew. How has it affected me personally? Well let's see, it's a government backed bail out, so I help finance the government, therefore I am helping to bail them out. It sucks that they made some really bad loans to people who couldn't possibly pay them back, and now we are having to help bail them out.

That if JP Morgan and the government did not step in, stock markets will fare a lot worse ... hurting my funds, and with economic spillovers, i.e. slowing economy, negative sentiments would impact my employer, job and pay.
