It depends on the business. Some are open 24/7. Others are open noon to four Mon-Thurs. Some have no specified hours-they go when the work is needed. People like firemen, emergency room technicians, reporters. Some jobs are seasonal. A lifeguard might work long hours during the summer but have no hours in the winter. You really can't generalize on this.
