Yes, usually there are others in the day but it depends how remote the post box is. No collections at the moment though as they're all on strike! |

Yes....but it depends where you are and what post box it is as to how many pick ups they do!The post box nr mine, does 4 collections through the day!
But at the moment.....there aren't any coz of the bldy strike that goes on until 1pm tomorrow afternoon, then starts again on Monday morning!! God dammit! |

They used to give exact times for each collection through the day.
In a lot of cases, they now only give 'last collection times'
It varies from box to box...
a very rural area may only get one collection per day
many may only have 2 collections per day
a box at sub post office may have 4 collections per day
some boxes (usually in, or next to the main sorting office) may have as many as 8 collections through the day.
One, that i knew of, (next to angel way sorting office in Romford) had it's last collection at 1 am |

In built up areas there will be at least 3 collections from the box, A wave 2 collection between 1100-1300, A wave 3 between 1400-1600, A wave 4 between 1630-1800. Some very busy boxes in city centre will also have a later wave 5 collection between 1900-1930.
Boxes in rural areas will have a least one collection a day usaully late in the afternoon on a wave 4 collection. Some will have a morning wave 2 collection as well. |
