I'm mid 30s and am working for my third employer in terms of proper full-time jobs (not temporary things).

I'm 30 and I'm on my 4th employer. I have averaged about 2 - 2.5 years with each employer mainly as I want to move up the ladder and haven't been able to do that any other way.

I also no someone who's 40 and only ever worked for one company and another person who is 25 and worked for about 8 so think it varies quite a lot

SUE G online
My dad only ever worked for one company from 14 up until he retired at 64, but by the time I reached 40 I had probably worked for about 12 companies

I'd say about 4.
