don't be sucked in by thinking it is a community because it is a business and is there to make money please think and look before you weep as you really have to now what you are doing there are sharks out there just waiting for the new minnows to arrive

Used it both for buying and selling for the last 5 years, and have enjoyed it a lot- I live in Spain, and it means I can get stuff I couldn't normally, and my son is in USA, and I bought his Xmas presents from the US site, and had them delivered direct to him (I do this every year!) I have never had a problem, and have found 99% of sellers to be lovely people......and if you look at the feedback, and use PayPal, you will have a stress free buying experience!

Only pay thru pay-pal and keep and eye on feedback percentages.

Ps never had a problem.

I have bought and sold stuff on ebay - about 50 items in all. Of those 2 items never arrived in the post, so i was refunded for them and 1 item I received was not as described, so again i was refunded.

Always check feedback scores and if possible use paypal.

It's worth a try but don't expect to make megabucks if you're just getting rid of stuff.

Problems with counterfeits; and selling on a frequent basis might attract the taxman if he decides you are in trade or business.

(lots of Ebayers are and don't realise it)

I have done but it used to be much better. It was once "the online car boot sale", useful for disposing of unwanted items and picking up items cheaply, particularly parts for my computer. O.K., so there was a slight risk. Now, with PayPal, everyone wants a guarantee and it's not worth the effort anymore. Small items are not worth selling, because, as well as the eBay commission, there is also the PayPal charges.

hey its mr gash bucket
would not touch it with a barge pole, used it once paid for the full package pay-pal and all that crap 2 days later got an email supposedly from ebay that i hadnt paid

FM is going away.
I've been buying and selling over 2 years now, up to now it's been safe for me.

Use it all the time to both buy & sell. Just watch the feedback and you will have no problems.
