You are either a salesman or you are not.
You do not seem like one.
I am and love sales. I always have.
You cannot inspire enthusiasm unless you are enthusiastic first.
Passion is not a chore for those of us who are good at sales. It is a pleasure.

Absolutely.
If you love computers, you are going to be more knowledgable about computers and therefore if given the chance to sell computers versus livingroom furniture (which you could care less about), I would bet you will be much more successful in selling computers.

I believe its so. The more you believe in what you sell, the greater the knowledge and success.

I think it makes it a lot easier if you believe in what you are selling. If you have no faith in what you are selling then, a potential customer will be able to detect that.

Success in sales depends a lot on passion.
The more passionate you are about a product, the more it will show. You will be able to stand behind the product and be convincing that others should buy it - because you yourself believe in it!
I think some people are passionate about sales. They like to get people to buy new things or are good at convincing people to do something or to buy something.

Selling is simple. It's a transfer of one's excitement to another person. The only way to be successful is first believe in what you sell. (Sell yourself first). Be passionate about your belief. Get excited about it enough to make someone else excited enough to buy it. And not just buy it, but pay all the money for it.
I have sold cars since 1999 and worked in sales since I was 15. I'm 35 now. 100% of your success depends on your passion for your product. If you loose faith in the product or service you sell, then you will loose sales. It's just that simple. Remember this, people sell things to other people and have done so since the beginning of time. How successful you are will be determined on the amount of passion you excerpt. An athlete is successful only due to the passion he has for the game. You have to love it.

If you are passionate about people and the product you sell
success is a given.
