I think Yahoo will hang around. The board is strong. They just fought off a takeover. It weakened Yahoo, but didn't kill it. Y! will survive.

Every entity which performs a service during an economic downturn, if it is properly managed, will pare the organization where ever it has become overloaded. Even the best run companies tend to have " empire builders" who fatten up their staffs during the good times.This is experienced through out the world and is not relegated to any one economic sector. If Yahoo is in trouble, Microsoft and others who have a strong interest in the computer information sector will pick up the function either through buyout or initiating a new entity.
