I have always found that the best way to deal with people that are jealous of me is to be amazingly kind to them. If people are jealous of you, you can bet that they are extremely annoyed every time they see you. If you go out of your way to be extra kind and nice to them, one of two things will happen.
1) They will suddenly realize that you're not such a bad person after all and their disliking and jealousy of you will magically disappear.
2) They will become EVEN more annoyed with you and actually allow their jealousy to grow into an all consuming demon!
If the person who is jealous of you is a work colleague, it is my opinion that outcome 2 is the best. If someone is such an idiot that they actually have room in their existance to be jealous of other people, you don't really want that person to like you. I mean, who wants to be friends with an immature moron?!?!?! Therefore outcome 1 is definately out!
Outcome 2, conversely, will lead to a more desirable result. If the jealous one becomes consumed with hate, it will begin to affect their life very badly. Their personal life will be a nightmare, but the chances are that their professional life will deteriate even more. Why? Because they will have to see the object of their derision every day of course! You will drive them insane and to ever more anti-social actions. If you are smart, you make sure that this doesn't escape the notice of your boss and then you just let nature take it's course. They will get fired and you will be idiot free...perfect outcome!
Remember to smile every time you see this person and you'll be well on your way to achieving outcome 2...good luck. |
