Maybe I'm prying too much, but does your mother want to work there when they build it......Did your father split early on so that your mother had to work to support you? It seems like the only ones complaining about Wallmart are the ones that work there or the competition. I read about the disputes last year about break times, etc.
Effecting the community might be a good thing, maybe other companies will raise their wages like Wallmart does. The roads, how many people travel on them anyways......?
I was a big Target shopper until I learned that Target was French and didn't support programs like Toys for Tots that the Marine Corps does or anything like that. I started going to Wallmart.
I also had two shirts for my son that were too small. I had the gift reciept and took them back to Target. They told me that this counted for my two exchanges per year at Target. Even though someone else bought these things for my son, they would count it against me!! Wallmart has an open exchange policy. I've never had a problem with exchanges at Wallmart.

I think only Americans complain about a store where you can get goods for cheaper, then other places. Why does Wal-Mart bug people? Why Take it out on Wal-Mart, just because they have mastered the role of supply and demand? Target and K-Mart are to stupid to lower their prices and sell more, so Wal-Mart will keep capitalizing on their stupidity. I love going to Wal-Mart and saving TONS of money. |

It will put every store around out of business. People don't realize how bad they are screwing themselves until it is too late. It just dawns on you one day when your stuck in walmart needing something that they don't have like customer assistance, or someone that knows there *** from a hole in the ground. Yea you'll be sittin there thinking how bad you screwed yourself shopping there to save a few dollars while the store down the street that actually had people there that were useful went out of business. I'm not saying walmart employees are the problem, it's the store. Not everyone should know about tools, or tires, or wrenches, or towels, but if they are going to be making a living working in that department, they should. Now people that lost their halfway decent paying job at a retail store will work for minimum wage. Walmart sucks the money out of your community, and only gives back what it absolutely has too.
For those of you that do not see the problem with this, ask yourself is it right for corporations like walmart to rake in record profits well into the billions while their employees can't even afford the companies health care plan. In fact walmart encourages their employees to get medicaid. Yea, they get paid so crappy that they qualify for medicaid. Now as a taxpayer who do you think should be paying for their employees health care. You or Walmart? |
