Crappo | I'm going into the testicular refrigeration business, anybody interested? |
Most people just do not seem to realize how dangerous it is to let their scrotal temperature rise! Check this link for more details http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4078895.stm
I've built a prototype of a liquid-nitrogen testicular refrigerator, I'd rather not go into details as it's not patented yet. I'm looking for people with a scientific background and entrepreneurial skills, any suggestions, tips, ideas? |

I wish you luck but I doubt that your product will have much of a market. Most users do not keep their laptop on their laps, and if they do the evidence is very scant that the temperature increase is damaging. The scrotum is placed outside of the male body because it works best at a lower temperature than normal body heat. But periodic exposure to heat occurs in many situations without adverse effects, for example in a sauna, hot tub, hot shower, and even sunning on a beach. Prolonged excessive testicular heat may affect sperm production to some extent, but there is always sufficient time when the scrotum is experiencing normal temperatures, for example during sleep and many waking periods. Sperm production is continuous, and while it may be slower at higher temperatures, there is probably no danger of sterility.
You may want to evaluate carefully the cost of your product and study at what price you may have to sell it to find a market. Possibly the same results could be obtained by placing the laptop on a 2" Styrofoam slab on your lap. The cost is less than a dollar. |
