I'm kind of annoyed at the leaving present I got from work...?
On my last day the boss presented me with the clock and told me I'd been staring at it so much, he thought it was a perfect gift.

How should I get my revenge?

curious man..
Buy some plastic breasts and say he has been staring at yours so much he can now stare at these now you've gone!!

Granny 1
Be thankful for the gift, a lot of employers give nothing. He was just saying goodbye with a little humor.

lisa r
imagine if youd have stared at his c ock?

missluly
How Rotten!. Did they not give you anything else????. I love the idea of presenting him back with a pair of breasts, and tell him he has spent so much time staring at them over the past few years you thought they would make the perfect present. WAIT until you have had a reference from the company first! (Also, make the letter v.jokey, so you can say it is all meant in "good jest").
Good Luck

Get a better job. Then send him a letter of thanks letting him know how helpful to you he has been with your success.

Queen Nefertiti
don't get revenge. you may need him as a reference down the road. just smile and kill him with kindness. be the better person. at least you know he's an ***. he doesn't! ahahahah

bender

Excellent! The time has gone where you could have got your revenge.

Give him a present for being a "great boss". Make it involve something he does often, or his pet peeve. For instance, if he dislikes to much noise, buy him earpluggs and say "You don't like it when people are social, so I think that it was the perfect gift.,"
Make it sting some. I mean, your not going to have to be around him for much longer!

The Guy
KEEP STARING AT THE ONE HE DIDN'T GIVE YOU AND FORGET THE ONE HE GAVE YOU AT THE DESK.

Obviously, you don't want to p*ss him off when you still may need a reference, but the truth is, depending on what type of work you are looking for, that may be some time. I just recently applied for a gig at TSA, and they went back TEN years ...

(But I do think the fake boobs is FUNNY!)

Go with Curious Man's suggestion. Brilliant...........

Lisa R is right. Get a vibrator and tell him he got it wrong. There wasnt supposed to be an "L" in it.

Ooh, that is rude! When I first read your headline I thought - hey, getting a present at all is nice!

Does your boss just have a goofy sense of humor? And old boss of mine gave me a copy of "Office Space" when I left. I guess in other circumstances, one could have been offended, but in my office this had been a gift to the VP for boss's day several years back as a gag.

In any case, why worry about revenge now? You are gone and don't have to work for him anymore, so why waste another second thinking about him. Regift the clock to your new office secret santa or donate it somewhere and move on.

tony2kuk
everyone gets a clock because bosses lack imagination, and the though of you watching your life tick away sort of turns them on.
best revenge is to get a better job then rub it in his face

Very funny gift though, must remember that one. Well if you are the Roxie Hart from the musical Chicago, i'm not suprised. Oh foxy Roxie Hart is very hard work. Fred got out easy

sue c
Roxie, With that attitude if I were you boss I would be throwing a party because you are gone. A gift is just that going away presents are not a given they are an option.
I am very happy that you were never my employee and even more happy that I am not the new boss that hired you.. he obviously has made a big mistake about your character.

LMFAO!

revenge? why? bosses are very perceptive.

there's a reason for his gift... do read up on ettiquete with bosses online, key it up in google.com bosses are hard and well that's the way it goes.

always leave with a good impression with the boss. (and the employees too) but the boss if they let you go cynically well it's gone, let it pass.. if they cry then you've done real good. that's the revenge.. but you didn't leave on good terms obviously.

just let it go. move along, don't try to reconnect, bad idea especially if you're going to look for work elsewhere part time or full time. and especially if you leave with any form of pay coming to you.

:D

let it go. it's a good gift, it reminds you of the situation. never forget that, keep it on the mind as you go on to the next boss (from hell) or (best boss ever)

Alright!
You should be delighted - hang it up in your home in the kitchen or hallway and be re-assured by the fact that everytime you look at it, it will remind you how good it is not to be working there anymore and that now nobody that still works there can even look to the clock for some sign of hope.

Lex
Get over it and move on. A clock is actually the most common gift given by corporations upon retirement/resignation. No clue why but the best revenge would be for you to just leave and get on with your life.

KIT-KAT
Why bother? You be the bigger person and move on. It sounds like your life will be better for this anyway. He's not worth it!

Sweet Dreams
your boss is a smartass. give him a bra and tell him "ive noticed youve been trying to stare through these, and i thought it would have been a perfect gift."
