You want to leave your current place on a positive note. Dont burn bridges that you may have to cross again later. |

If you do then the company is less likely to give you a poor recommendation. Be sure not to downgrade other employees when you are asked questions. Ask the person interviewing you for a copy of the results, a letter of recommendation or contact information for future reference. This will possibly keep the door open in case you ever change your mind. Not taking the time could close doors to opportunities. |

Granting an exit interview is a courtesy that a departing employee extends to his or her soon-to-be-former employer.
This employer has invested substantial money, time, and resources into training the employee to do a certain job. When the employee leaves, the company knows that it will have to start all over again, with someone new. For that reason, employee turn-over is expensive, for a company. Many companies seek to reduce the expense of employee turn-over by trying to figure out the reasons that employees leave the company, so that they can correct any problems that may exist.
Remember, the exit interview is a courtesy extended by the employee to the company. The purpose of that interview is to help the company to become better. Therefore, it's important to be honest about your reasons for leaving. Try to be objective, factual, and dispassionate, when explaining why you are leaving. Now is not the time to grind axes. Just state your position, along with whatever gratitude you feel for the opportunity you have been given, to work with this particular company. And good luck, in the future. |

If you don't have another job lined up, to get a positive reference and not to burn any bridges behind you.
If you DO have another job lined up, to insult and otherwise belittle your boss. Making frequent references to his "small penis" and about how you are leaving because he "didn't satisfy." Also, come in to the exit interview in a chicken suit. And post a video of it on youtube, because Ive got to see that happening :D |

maybe they want to know why you left to avoid this in the future... Also a good reference never hurt |
