Applications like this are the result of a company hiring psychologists to determine what type of personality is best suited for a specific job, and then creating a test to look for that specific personality. Or the test could be looking for specific traits that are red flags or suggest a person won't last in a job.
Companies spend huge amounts of money on this stuff because in the long run they figure it will save costs associated with training employees who won't last in the job.
Having worked for companies that use test like these, I can tell you that they are mostly BS. Many people wind up answering the way they think will get them the job and many of the questions are designed to look for inconsistencies. It certainly is no substitute for an in person interview. Although for a company like Marriott that probably receives thousands of applications, it can be a good first step to weed out the losers. |

uhm--if they haven't called you by now, they probably won't. The fact that you have to ask what that test was is a clue you probably haven't passed.
It's to see the inside of your head. A good employee is truthful (well, that's what they say they want), honest, always on time, cares more for the company than themselves, always does a good job just because they're like that, loves people telling him what to do, and where to go, and likes it when people argue with him but never argues back and accepts the rules.
You should have said...
I like crowds, like people, like people who argue with me, because I never talk back, don't stress jerks, like jerks a lot, get to work really early, have no life and want to do toilets, lol...
if you didn't, go ahead and call, I just don't think you'll get far. And they use key words. I hope you used a lot of "customer service" and "energetic" and "on time and self motivaed" in your application. |

Its a form of a personality test. Its supposed to test various things like how you act with others, how you act under pressure etc. Its stupid tough because if you ask most people about their personality they will tell you what they want to be not truly who they are. |

It a psychological type or personality test questions, they'll see from your answers your basic responses to some basic situations. I also took somewhat a similar exam, i always go with the first thing that comes to mind. |

It's a personality test to screen people out. Some people think they're not, but it's entirely possible to fail them (I was at a job where the faxes came through every few days with people who didn't pass them). As to whether you should follow up, definitely! Always be pro-active. |

Target, walmart, will all ask similar questions, its just a way for them to somewhat determine your personality a little. I would most definalty follow up with them if you dont hear anything in say 7-10 days.
