k means 1000, so 10k is 10,000 irrespective of the currency. If in India it will be 10,000/- rupees.

10K means 10000. It is depends on the country courrency. If it is in India it is rupees, in US it is dollars, in UK it is in pounds.......

The above amount whether it is monthly or annually depends on your profession for which you hv been selected. Normally it will be on monthly basis.
