Do you ever get e-mails like this? The companies in Britain ask me for my address, phone and other information. They state that they are willing to pay me 10% of the check that their US customers forward to me. All I have to do is establish a bank account here for the company and forward the 90% to the parent company in Gr. Britain. Is this a scam? Would you do something like this? It smells like a scam to me. If I knew it was legitimate, I might do it. |

Yes, it is a scam. Always delete anything that says you have won a lottery, someone you don't know wants to give you money, or they want your banking information. They are always scams. Don't reply, just delete. If it is too good to be true, it is a scam. |

Yes. It is a scam. The checks you receive will bounce, but it will take some time before they come back, and you will be out of thousands of dollars. |

These scams generally want you to deposit a check and send 90% to them. Then after you have wired the money the check will bounce and you will be responsible for making it good at the bank. Those who want your personal information are then selling that information to identity theft rings who will perpare false documents for someone to use in your name. Remember "IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE IT PROBABLY IS" |

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Don't open those e-mails and don't respond. They are all very slick scams that have been highlighted on the news recently. They will take the money you send them plus empty out your bank account, even your PayPal account. This was covered on the Oprah show a few weeks ago. |
