In most states (and I believe in all), shoplifting $112 would not be a felony, so you shouldn't be in much trouble. In any case, don't steal anymore!

I made the same mistake and an unwanted record has haunted me all my life.
But you are in luck.
1 you are under 18 so you can probably get it taken off your record. Consult your lawyer, or public defender.
2. Not a felony, misdemenor
3. If more than 1 person was involved, and the detective questioning you asks for everything you know regarding any others involved, GIVE IT UP. Chances are the others will give you up and if the law finds out you witheld information, they could throw the book at you. Learn your lesson the easy way, not the hard way.

Should have thought of that before stealing. I would say yes to all you questions except them taking your license but this will stay on your record for quite some time. |

you'll pro bally have to go to court and then depends when your bday is? cuz if your almost 18 then you could have a felony on your record and yes they stay on your recorded for life but you can find plenty of jobs with a felony just not as many choices as you would if you didn't but my brother has a felony on his record and he can still go to college and he is working at a restaurant called applebee's |

It depends on the state where the theft occurred. Usually felony theft doesn't start until around $500.
I'm glad you learned your lesson. Tell that to the judge and if it's your first offense, you might get some mercy. |
