Because it's HR, just stick to the card.
Most companies have a no gift policy, I'd hate for you to go through the trouble for her, only to have her not to be able to accept it. The fact that you were moved enough to give her a card will really show your gratitude. |

I think a gift would be inappropriate. My company has "spirit" cards. When someone has done something special, or gone out of his way to help another associate or customer, you can send a spirit card. The add up to points and we can get gifts with the points. Maybe your company has something like that. If not, you could suggest it. |
